The seas of dating can be quite turbulent, so what is acceptable and what is not? Once upon a time, men did all the chasing and wooing while women played coy for a while before giving the green light(so as not to seem too eager or too cheap and be taken for granted). This is the new millenium and things certainly seem to be changing. Just as technology has evolved over time, so has the structure of romantic relationships. You no longer have to attend parties or gatherings to get a boyfriend or a girlfriend, just sit at home and log on to any of the numerous social media platforms; facebook, twitter, instagram, whatsapp.... As easy as that!!,
So back to our question, As liberated as the dating scene seems now, is it acceptable for women to toast men? Is it a welcome development? After all they say what a man can do a woman can do better. Does it apply in this case? Comments please!

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion a woman chasing a man is role switching. Men and women were created by God for specific roles. The physical, anatomical,emotional and psychological make up of a man is a leader (the hunter) while that of a woman is to receive (to sit back and look pretty :D) Many have misinterpreted female liberation as role switching but we need to truly understand the difference between gender empowerment and emasculation (depriving a man of his role or identity). Bringing it closer home God says he who finds a wife...not she who finds a husband. In summary women, do not deprive yourselves of the joy and feminity of being chosen. There is a reason God intended it that way. Cheers.
